The President of the University of Zakho, Dr. Nadhim S. Abdulaziz, and the University Council hosted the Governor of Zakho Independent Administration, Mr. Gohdar Shekho on January 28, 2024.

In the meeting convened, Mr. Gohdar Shekho congratulated the new members of the council on their new positions. Then, the discussion revolved around significant issues such as scientific achievements and university projects. Additionally, the crucial role of the university in community development was emphasized, particularly its role in building academic and innovative individuals for a brighter future in Kurdistan.

It is noteworthy to mention that the Governor of the Independent Administration of Zakho frequently visits the UoZ to gain insights into the academic progress, achievements, and challenges faced by the university. Overall, these visits help the governor contribute to the development and improvement of the education system and the overall well-being of the city.
